Working through and dealing with the experiences they had in prison led them to finding WRAP, which was a recovery tool that would essentially change their lives. This talk will center around how the Horton brothers learned to utilize WRAP to not only change their own trajectory, but also the course of many other inmates around them.
This presentation will help social workers and other helping professionals understand how to utilize different services i.e., CRS. This presentation will also assist the helping professional to ensure they are making available to those in treatment the various services that are available to them. The session objectives are to (1) provide community members and other professionals with a clear understanding of how case managers, counselors, and certified recovery specialists work together as a treatment team, as well as understand the importance of each role to an individual’s recovery.

Our society is facing a mental health emergency and our usual approach is overwhelmed: we need innovation. Integrated Community Therapy is a groundbreaking large group method of helping people help themselves and each other through the power of dialogic emotional expression. This presentation will discuss the method, what it might do for us and how it is being introduced to the community; a demonstration of ICT will be part of the presentation.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify risk for and protective factors against suicide. They will learn the techniques and science behind three crucial steps to prevent suicide (QPR, clinical suicide risk assessment, and evidenced based treatments for the suicidal patient) through a person centered approach.
